I just came back home from AstroFest for the evening since I have to
go to the airport in the morning to pick up the tripod for the mount
for my TMB 203 f/9. I took some shots of Tom, Markus, and the other
203 f/9 Markus brought to the show -- and then proceeded to mount on
a Giro-2 Deluxe!!! (Okay, the lens cell wasn't in it, but so much
for questions about how much weight a Giro-2 will handle.) Tom
delivered my 203 to me at the show, and hopefully I will get the
tripod and return to AstroFest tomorrow and get it up and running,
weather cooperating!! To put names with faces, Markus is the guy in
the black shirt with the mustache and the big smile shown in many of
the shots. Tom is the slightly shorter, sandy-haired man standing to
the right of Markus, or the left side as you view it on the screen.
The new TMB German tubes ARE impressive, as you can see from the
shots. Sorry about the large size. New camera, and haven't figured
out how to downsize the shots for uploading.
