Trapezium Image with AP 10" f/14.6 Maksutov-Cassegrain
Compared to Hubble Image

This composite compares the Christen Trapezium image with one taken by the Hubble Space Telescope. Note the similarities in the larger scale details, and even in some of the smaller proto blobs. The black and white image shows the h star of the Trap elongated. It is 0.8 arc seconds separation and 16th magnitude. Note the neat curving blob down below and some of the mottling details in the nebula. Image by Roland Christen of Astro-Physics
