A Note About the Essays
 


Presented here is a small collection of essays covering various aspects
of optics and optical testing by Roland Christen of Astro-Physics. Some
of these essays were conceived and written as a single work by Mr.
Christen while others were compiled by the owner of this site from
Roland's postings to various discussion groups on the internet. Roland
Christen in giving his permission to publish this work, pointed out
that the compiled pieces "don't read like a polished essay (they appear
to be somewhat out of context)". The reader will no doubt find this to
be true, however in spite of this lack of polish, there is much
valuable information to be gained. In the near future the compiled
essays will undergo some judicious editing in order that they read with
the same lucidity as Roland's original work.
