M42, Imaged with an
AP 10" f/14.6 Maksutov-Cassegrain

This image consists of 3 sets of LRGB images of 10 sec, 60 sec and 300
sec. duration. The shorter exposures are blended into the longer ones
to allow the outer portion to show without losing detail in the inner portion. The
brightness range is incredible with this object. All images were binned 2x2
with the ST10E camera at F14.6, 10" aperture. The image has been reduced from
the original size.
