The Electronic Map Library includes a series of atlases created by Dr. William Bowen. These volumes are evolving in response to the changing interests of the author and requests made by the academic and scientific communities. Questions and comments should be directed to Dr. Bowen, who will respond by email as commitments allow. Individual maps are most commonly stored in GIF and JPEG formats. In some cases, PDF, EPS, and TIFF images are also archived. Those wishing to download and otherwise manipulate individual files should honor copyright restrictions and the wishes of the author.
One of the unfortunate realities of Web publications is that every user's computer screen will render color graphics and maps differently. Serious users may need to download the images and modify their color balance using their own software. The pictures are best viewed on a large monitor.
